Ann Seabourne: Painter

Each of these paintings embody ideas and feelings in response to specific contexts and locations.

My paintings are about visual excitement and the joy I find in the process of attempting to capture vibrations of colour and the energy of rhythmic movement. Observations and notations made on site or in the studio combine as part of a long process of experimentation in the development of a composition which eventually, but not always, approaches what I hold in my mind’s eye. If I am successful the work will be a balance of values held in tension which hopefully, will be shared with the viewer.
